What do you think about the differences in male/female magazines...?

Check out these websites:

http://uk.askmen.com/ < Cars, Meals, Sports, Jobs, Places to visit, Health, Video games and some advice on how to get girls and style/ sex appeal but not too overdone

http://www.cosmopolitan.com/ < EVERYTHING is about how to look good and beauty/ hair advice and relationship/ guy advice and theres wayyy too much of it (HAHA read this one: 30 Things to Do with a Naked Man)

I wont lie, the cosmopolitan website makes me feel claustraphobic (lol thats the only way I can describe it), it makes me feel like as a girl theres nothing else in my life but my looks and guys.

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters:
Well, you really have to look at the same catigories because if u look at it that way, they are alot alike. One I can think of is playboy ( for guys) and playgirl ( for woman) they are the same in a lot of ways but they put advice and pictures suitable for guys and then on playgirl they put advice and pictures suitable for woman.

Other Answers:
both boring and are just full of advertisements instead of meaningful information.

Do you think jannells mom in teen mom 2 is to harsh on her?

when watching it i think that she is way to no top with her, i mean the girl is trying.

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters:
i totally agree. jennelle is trying to be a good mom... she got a job and is trying to get back on her feet to get jace back, which her mom would NEVER do. like when she brought presents home for jace and like a skirt for work her mom was yelling at her because she bought a like $3 skirt for her JOB. jennelles mom wants her to fail. jennelles doing her best, she grew up with a mean mom and without a father.

Other Answers:
Never watched the show. Its an awful show, basically telling young girls to become pregnant, because then they might be on tv. I can say this though: parents are usually very protective so Im going to have to say no to your question because think about it, how would you feel if your teenage daughter had a kid?|||I kind of get where your getting at. Like in the episode i watched last night, Jannelle bought Jace a B-Day present and all she did was find ways to tell her it wasnt good enough. I mean shes trying.|||no I think shes being a mother, and trying to teach her lesson about the real world..when you have a kid, you have to grow up.

10 Best Ways to Learn English in a Non-English Country

Even in countries in which English is not the primary language, it is important to learn English for a number of reasons. First of all, many English-speaking individuals tour other countries and they may not speak the native language of that country, so it is necessary for them to speak to others who can speak English. Then again, many wish to learn English because they are hoping to visit or even live in an English-speaking country someday.

However, learning how to speak English in a non-English country can be quite challenging. Where those learning how to speak English in English-speaking countries have a lot of resources to their disposal such as television, radio, and libraries that are packed full of books written in English, the resident of a non-English country does not have that luxury. That is why it is important to explore other options.

Below are the 10 best ways that an individual wishing to speak English can learn in their own country:

1. The Internet is going to be your best friend. It is packed full of resources, reading materials, sound recordings, and so much more that can help you learn the meaning of the words that you read and speak.

2. Check out your local video store and see if there are movies in English. There may be a few. Don't worry about the entertainment value of the title. You are watching it so you can stop it and replay it in order to focus on your English speaking skills.

3. Record yourself when you speak English. After you are finished recording, play it back and see what you sound like. If you are not clear, then you can simply try again. This is a great way to see how others hear you.

4. Go to your library and pick out titles that are written in English. Try to read those titles. Just be mindful of the difficulty level and even practice writing some of the sentences.

5. Find an English CD and listen to it. Decipher the words and even try to sing along. This can be a lot of fun. If you want to, you can record yourself doing this and really have a lot of fun.

6. Try to surround yourself with as many English materials as possible. Not just books, movies, and CDs, but magazines and any products that you can find in the store that may have English written on them. Some major brands service many countries and have multiple languages written on their packaging.

7. Practice with a friend. This friend may not know English, but impress them with your skills. You may even try to teach what you have learned because you will be less likely to forget by repeating the information to another.

8. If you hear a word and you don't know what it is, write it down and do research on what it means. In your research you'll encounter many more English words for you to ponder over.

9. Keep a diary in English. The things you write can be as simple as what day it is and what the weather is like outside.

10. And the most important to learn English is to consider is online ESL courses. These online courses help you learn at your pace and provide you with materials that will have you speaking English in no time. All of the other steps can be used outside of your courses to make you proficient in the language.

ILA Courses In Scotland

ILA Scotland is a Government initiative providing funding for individuals to undertake skill based courses, inevitably enabling individuals to further learning, while developing expertise. ILA Scotland offer an array of courses that suit a diverse number of needs.

Eligibility for funding is dependent on certain criteria – if the individual earns £22,000 a year or less, or if they are on benefits, they are entitled to apply for funding. For many individuals in such situations there are few opportunities offered that will help further learning, at no extra cost to themselves.

The wide choice of training course ensures individuals gain either skills in areas of interest, or to enhance job prospects. Each course offers knowledge based skills and an aptitude for learning.

Today, such opportunities should not be missed – following on from the recent discussion surrounding Britain's inability to cultivate the skills of its workforce, the relevance and importance of ILA courses is paramount to improving this. What ILA provides is a chance for change, helping to broaden opportunities and skills of Scottish citizens.

Individuals can apply to fund either a course to the of value of £200 or £500, depending on eligibility. Once the funding has been approved, the wealth of courses available ensures there is something for everyone – across Scotland there are an increasing number of learning providers all offering ILA funded courses.

<a rel=nofollow onclick=javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']); href=http://www.flowhospitalitytraining.co.uk/about-flow/ila-scotland-courses>ILA courses</a> available range from worked and skill based learning in areas such as hospitality, catering, computing, counselling, and forklift driver training, among many others.

Language courses have always being a popular choice. However, Britain still lags behind most other countries in language proficiencies. For years, UK businesses have been slow at investing in language training, meaning Britain's workforce now lacks bilingual abilities.

Today, language skills play a vital role in business as it increasingly moves onto an international stage. Failure for individuals to adequately converse with other languages will inevitably be detrimental their business and individuals job prospects. Through choosing an ILA Scotland course, individuals are given the opportunity to enhance skills and develop lifelong learning.

Role of Chaucer in English Literature

Geoffrey Chaucer is remembered as the author of The Canterbury Tales, which ranks as one of the greatest epic works of world Literature. Chaucer made a crucial contribution to English Literature in using English at a time when much court poetry was still written in Anglo Norman or Latin. Chaucer is sometimes considered the source of English Vernacular tradition & the ‘father of modern English Literature'. His achievement for the language can be seen as a part of general historical trend towards the creation of Vernacular Literature.

Chaucer's first major work, The Book of the Duchess was an elegy for Blanche of Lancaster. Two other early works by Chaucer were Anelide & Arcite & The House Fame. His Parlement of Foules, The Legend of Good Women & Troilus & Criseyde all date from the time Chaucer is best known as the writer of The Canterbury Tales which is a collection of Stories told by Fictional pilgrims on the road to the cathedral at Canterbury, the tales would help to shape English Literature.

Chaucer also translated some important works. He wrote The Canterbury Tales in the Vernacular of the English people. Geoffrey Chaucer is often credited with being the Father of English Literature.

During Chaucer's life time, most literary works were written in French; in fact Chaucer himself wrote in French & Italian; certainly his poetry was modeled up on French poetry. However, he chose to write in the old English that was popular with those who were not necessarily among the nobility. In addition, his stories have a humor & freedom that anticipated the works of such English greats as Henry Fielding.

He introduced iambic pentameter into poetry, a meter that many a reader recognizes as that of William Shakespeare & is prevalent in much of English & American poetry.

The ideas of Chaucer's development of characterization & large depiction of motivators of characters in his work become critical elements in English Literature after Chaucer. The motion of creating multi dimensional character is powerful elements in the landmarks of Chaucer's English Literature.
