Leon Russell is a blues based pianist. He was a heavily used studio musican in the 60s. He played for groups such as the Byrds and Gary Lewis & the Playboys. Later George Harrison used him at Applie for back up in recordings by Badfinger. He did appear at George Harrisons Concert for Bangladesh. He had a long solo career. He owned a recording studio in Oklahoma. He is a writer, musician and singer.
