Look at the computerrelated majors offered your local community college. I think that a major like computer networking (much less math needed than computer science) plus an A+ certification might be exactly the type of thing youre looking for, and that type of degree, plus an internship in the field while you studied for it, would qualify you to work on a computer help desk a job I think you might really like. Check out that major here, as one example, and see if your local community colleges offer something similar:

Another idea, which can also be even more lucrative than computers, is to go into the trades. For you, Im interested in plumbing, electrician, and HVAC. Your community college may well offer training in these fields, but also check with the local unions they may have training programs of their own. An believe me, master electricians make more money than most college graduates do.
Im 30 and doing fine in college. Math is a fun challenge, though it is tough. Plus Im taking anatomy and physiology, which is a very rigorous course load. Im not discouraged; Im motivated.. if you have enough fuel in your tank, you can drive anywhere. If you have to take an arduous college math, so be it. You can survive with a smart and positive outlook. I love a challenge and success drives me. You have one life to live; live it up.
most people hate maths at school, but you can do it.
